This year’s theme, ‘Toward a Flourishing Future,’ guides discussions led by notable speakers, including Jill Biden and Tony Blair. The conference features over 200 sessions, addressing key topics in health, economy, and technology. Public sessions will be streamed live, expanding audience engagement with the insights shared by various influential figures.
The Milken Institute’s 28th Annual Global Conference has commenced in Beverly Hills, drawing approximately 5,000 attendees from over 80 nations. This year’s theme, “Toward a Flourishing Future,” will guide numerous discussions and sessions throughout the week.
Notable speakers include former First Lady Jill Biden, former UK Prime Minister Tony Blair, and Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent. The conference began on a Sunday with exclusive, invitation-only sessions and is scheduled to continue through Wednesday. All public sessions will be streamed live, allowing a broader audience to engage with the topics discussed.
One of the highlights of the conference is an interview with Jill Biden, who chairs the Milken Institute’s Women’s Health Network, focusing on the advancement of women’s health efforts globally. This session will take place from 8 to 8:30 a.m., where she will discuss “Catalyzing the Next Era of Health” with Esther Krofah.
Scott Bessent will also be featured from 8 to 8:30 a.m., discussing the global economy in a session with Milken. His insights include commentary on President Trump’s economic policies, highlighting trade reforms, tax cuts, and deregulation as mechanisms to foster investment within the United States.
Other significant discussions will be led by various influential figures. Dr. Mehmet Oz will engage with Esther Krofah from 10 to 10:20 a.m. on the changing paradigms in healthcare. Additionally, Wladimir Klitschko will delve into investing in Ukraine’s future from 10 to 11 a.m., while Paraguayan President Santiago Peña is set to be interviewed by Daniel Yergin from 9 to 9:30 a.m.
Kristalina Georgieva, representing the International Monetary Fund (IMF), will also be interviewed by Gerard Baker during a session from 10 to 10:20 a.m. These discussions reflect a diverse assortment of topics crucial to global economic and health-related matters.
