Beverly Hills – The Beverly Hills Chamber of Commerce hosted its annual Summer Garden Party at the Beverly Canon Gardens on June 25, marking a significant event for local businesses and community networking. During the event, Offer Nissenbaum was inaugurated as the new Board Chair, succeeding Bobbe Joy Dawson, who served as board chair for a 12-month term, becoming the seventh woman to take the helm in this position.

Dawson, who has been a pivotal figure in the Chamber for over ten years, previously held a spot on the board of directors and served on the executive committee for six years. She expressed gratitude for the support she received from the Beverly Hills community during her tenure.

Nissenbaum steps into his new role with nearly 40 years of experience in the hospitality industry, most recently serving as the general manager of The Peninsula Beverly Hills. He expressed appreciation for the opportunity to work within such a vibrant network, showcasing his commitment to continuing the Chamber’s goals.

Both Nissenbaum and Dawson received certificates acknowledging their dedicated service to the community during the event. The Summer Garden Party is touted as the Chamber’s “biggest networking event of the year,” featuring an array of tastings from local eateries, cocktails, and an atmosphere that promotes collaboration and partnerships among local businesses.

The event served as a platform highlighting the contributions of local businesses such as Bacari Beverly Hills, Cantina Frida, Sweet Angeles, Torrey Pines Bank, and the Beverly Hilton. Chris Rivielle, CEO of Plant Construction Company, took the stage to discuss his company’s recent renovations at the Beverly Hilton, emphasizing the ongoing development in the area.

Notable figures in attendance included Mayor Sharona Nazarian and Councilmembers Lester Friedman and Craig Corman, reflecting the community’s commitment to supporting local enterprises. Mayor Nazarian underscored the Chamber’s vital role and influence within Beverly Hills while encouraging residents to continue backing local businesses.

Recognizing individuals who exemplify commitment to the community, Pam Dodgen was awarded the Beverly Hills Chamber of Commerce Ambassador of the Year. This recognition highlights the importance of volunteerism within the Chamber and reinforces the mission to foster community engagement.

The Chamber comprises a diverse network of over 4,500 professionals who participate in approximately 250 events and programs annually. These events not only enhance networking opportunities but also allow businesses to grow and increase their visibility within the community.

The Beverly Hills Chamber’s Board of Directors, formed by local business leaders, plays a crucial role in setting the organization’s direction and strategies, ensuring that the needs of the business community are addressed effectively.

With tiered membership levels available, the Chamber aims to provide a variety of opportunities for local businesses to engage, collaborate, and thrive in a competitive environment. As the Chamber continues to evolve and adapt, its emphasis on community and local business support remains at the forefront of its mission.
