Beverly Hills – The Beverly Hills Bar Association (BHBA) and Beverly Hills Bar Foundation recently held their Installation and Awards Dinner to mark the beginning of the 2026 bar year. The event was notable for the installation of new officers and governors, as well as the recognition of outstanding contributions within the legal community.

Presiding Judge Sergio C. Tapia, II of the Los Angeles Superior Court officiated the oaths of office during the ceremony. Among the key appointments, Anthony D. Storm of Storm Palyan LLP was installed as the President of the Association. Storm expressed his pride in this substantial role, highlighting that the BHBA has reached a remarkable membership milestone of over 7,200, the highest in its nearly 100-year history. He committed to focusing on the expansion of the Association and the enhancement of services for both lawyers and pro bono projects throughout his term.

The leadership team also includes Alphonse Provinziano of Provinziano & Associates, who was welcomed as the President-Elect, Mathew S. Rosengart of Greenburg Traurig as Vice President, and Ron Reitshtein of Youngman Reitshtein, PLC taking on the role of Secretary-Treasurer. Nadira Imam of Lawrence H. Jacobson, APC assumes the position of Immediate Past President. Additionally, the Association swore in a new group of local attorneys as Governors, including Sanaz Bereliani, Ori Blumenfeld, Jennifer L. Campbell, Deborah Fujiwara, Beth Moeller, Robin Sax, Zenja Tobias, Erika A. Williams, and Jamie Wright.

Storm acknowledged the critical impact of the law in “healing families, creating stability during chaos, and offering hope,” drawing from personal experiences that shape his perspective on the legal profession. The BHBA has been experiencing substantial growth in recent years, with nearly 210,000 registrants participating in its programs last year. Furthermore, the Association is now certified to provide continuing legal education across all 50 states, adding to its significance within the legal community.

A key component of this growth is attributed to BHBA Barristers, the division designed for younger attorneys. The group significantly contributes to the overall membership and activity levels of the Association. The event also recognized Jinna Kang, a certified family law specialist, with the DEI Award. Kang spoke about her struggle with self-doubt and her journey towards overcoming it, symbolizing resilience in the legal field.

In outlining his ambitious objectives, Storm aims to expand national legal education programs, double partnerships with local bar groups, and enhance free mediation services. He also seeks to build alliances across political divides and defend the independence of judges and law firms from external pressures. These plans reflect a broader commitment to improving the legal profession while addressing contemporary challenges faced by lawyers and clients alike.

The Installation and Awards Dinner serves not only as a ceremonial event but also as a platform for the BHBA to showcase its direction and priorities for the coming year. As the new leadership steps into their roles, the focus on growth, service enhancement, and community support will likely shape the Association’s activities in the 2026 bar year, continuing its long-standing legacy within the Beverly Hills legal community.
