Los Angeles – The UCLA Bruins football team has made a significant addition to their recruiting class by securing the commitment of three-star wide receiver Xavier Warren from Georgetown High School in Texas. Warren confirmed his decision on Monday, marking another successful milestone in an ambitious recruiting season for the Bruins.

June has proven to be a fruitful month for UCLA, which wrapped up its official visit season with 14 new commitments. Warren stands out as a pivotal acquisition, as he was one of the remaining targets on the Bruins’ recruiting board. His commitment comes on the heels of other notable recruitment events, with UCLA’s current class ranking tenth nationally according to Rivals.

Warren, who currently resides in Georgetown, Texas, attracted attention from various programs across the country. He recently went on official visits to Oklahoma State, Arkansas, Michigan State, and UCLA. Michigan State appeared to be a strong contender following Warren’s visit; however, UCLA ultimately emerged as the preferred choice.

Warren is regarded as one of the fastest players in Central Texas, boasting remarkable speed with a recorded time of 10.32 seconds in the 100-yard dash and a reported sub-4.40 seconds in the 40-yard dash. In his junior year, he showcased his substantial skills by catching 46 passes for 876 yards, while scoring 9 touchdowns. Additionally, Warren contributed on the ground, rushing for 53 yards and scoring 4 touchdowns. His performance played a significant role in elevating the Georgetown Eagles to a successful 10-2 record, reaching the second round of UIL playoffs.

UCLA’s recent recruiting successes have been bittersweet, as the program missed out on another top target, wide receiver Vance Spafford, who switched his commitment from the Georgia Bulldogs to the Miami Hurricanes. Nevertheless, the Bruins are still in contention for other potential recruits, including Oscar Rios, who is expected to announce his decision later this month between UCLA and the Arizona Wildcats.

As of now, UCLA’s recruiting efforts have culminated in a total of 22 commitments for the 2026 class. The Bruins aim to bolster their roster further as the recruiting cycle progresses. In addition to Warren, the team has also attracted other promising wide receiver talents like Santana Carlos, Xavier Stinson, Jonah Smith, Kenneth Moore III, and the twin duo of Jaron and Kennan Pula.

The addition of Warren enriches UCLA’s offensive lineup, particularly alongside his teammate Jett Walker, a 2026 West Virginia commit, who delivered an impressive season with 2,317 rushing yards and 37 touchdowns. As the recruitment season unfolds, UCLA continues to expand its roster with aspirations to enhance its competitive edge in college football.
